  • Teaching Kids Comedy!

    For the first time at the Glasgow International Comedy Festival and as part of the 160th Birthday celebrations of the Britannia Music Hall, we proudly present Funny Bones. Comedy workshops and show for under 18’s to experience and learn about all forms of comedy from clowning to stand-up. Scottish comedians from TV, radio and stage will be providing the workshops culminating in a show on Sunday 11th March 3pm when every funny kid will get their chance to debut on the same stage as Stan Laurel did in 1906. Trophies will be presented to the kids with the Funniest Bones.

    3 professors of the art of laughter will teach classes in Clowning & Slapstick, Sketch development, writing & performance and stand-up.

    Class timetable & information:

    Workshop 1 – Clowning 1pm-2.30pm with Bobbo Roberts
    Workshop 2 – Sketch development, writing and performance 3.00pm-4.30pm
    Workshop 3 – Stand-up 5.00pm – 6.30pm

    For children aged 6 – 17.
    Young persons under 16 must bring a parent or guardian.
    Contact details (email & telephone) must be supplied for all parents and guardians.
    Young persons over 16 may also provide their own contact details (in addition to parent/ guardian details.
    There are only 20 places available for each class.
