Glaswegian Carly Connor has a unique, powerful and soulful voice. Taking influences from Janis Joplin and early Tina Turner, Carly has a real power in her voice while able to express a beautiful emotion with her heartfelt lyrics. Her early years and upbringing in a tough part of Glasgow have certainly made a lifelong imprint in Carly’s emotional DNA –and that comes through in her music.
Carly has an impressive number of live performances under her belt playing across the UK & Europe and supporting an array of acts from Chaka Khan to Paolo Nutini. Last year saw Carly support Stevie McCrorie and The Heavy as well as playing at T in the Park.
2017 has already seen Carly headline at King Tut’sNew Year’s Revolution festival, support Alabama 3 on a leg of their tour, and support US multi-platinumband the Fun Lovin’ Criminals. On top of this Carly has hit up the festival scene across the summer playing Gig in the Goil, Hangarfest, TRNSMT, and Edinburgh’s EH6 festival as well as supporting John Power from Cast and Barry Hyde from the Futureheads in an EH6 warm up gig.
Her latest single‘Who’s Gonna Love You’ will be released in the next few weeks, followed up by her single launch gig which takes place in King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut in Glasgow on Sat 18thNov.
