Glasgow Film Festival is pleased to announce the return of its popular Industry Focus strand for the 2018 festival.

Highlights for Industry Focus 2018 will include a topical and necessary discussion on harassment in the workplace led by Women in Film and TV plus Alex Stolz hosting a live episode of his hit podcast Film Disruptors, looking at the players shaking up the way film is created, distributed and consumed. Alongside this will be creative workshops, the chance to pitch ideas to influential industry leaders and informal networking. The full Industry Focus programme is announced in January 2018.

For the first time, NFTS Scotland (a hub of the world leading National Film and Television School (NFTS) due to open in April 2018) will partner the three day event, which runs from Wednesday 28 February to Friday 2 March. The School will host a number of exciting events in the festival, including an Industry Spotlight event with special guests in conversation with NFTS Director Jon Wardle. Other partners for the Industry Strand include BAFTA Scotland, Film London, the Glasgow Film Office and Director's UK.

The Industry Focus strand is open to anyone working in any aspect of filmmaking - from screenwriters to producers – with events tailored to industry audiences at all levels. Previous guests have included legendary Hollywood producer Christine Vachon and The Inbetweeners producer Chris Young.
